About Leisure Medical

Dr. Nathanael Desire

With over 20 years of dedicated experience in primary care and geriatric medicine, Dr. Nathanael Desire is the visionary founder of Leisure Medical. He established the practice based on a simple, powerful principle: that every patient deserves to be treated with compassion, respect, and most importantly, time. Having cared for thousands of patients, Dr. Desire saw the need for a healthcare model that restores the trusted doctor-patient relationship, especially for seniors in our community.

Dr. Desire is board-certified in primary care, bringing an exceptional level of expertise to our practice. His commitment to serving Long Island began with his medical degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed both his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Stony Brook University Hospital, deepening his roots and understanding of our local community's healthcare needs.

As an active member of the American Geriatrics Society, the American Board of Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine, and the American Osteopathic Association, Dr. Desire remains at the forefront of advancements in senior healthcare. He has instilled his patient-first philosophy into the core of Leisure Medical, guiding our entire team to deliver the highest standard of convenient, compassionate care that he believes every member deserves.
